The Navin and Pratima Doshi
Center for Integrative MedicineHere’s to health and wholeness!
MIU is now the proud owner of a two-story apartment building at 2825 S Sepulveda Blvd in West Los Angeles. This building is the gift of renowned philanthropists and LA residents Navin and Pratima Doshi, who wanted MIU to be closer to their home.
In this building, MIU will create the Navin and Pratima Doshi Center for Integrative Medicine, a Maharishi Ayurveda & Integrative Medical Clinic. Hundreds of students enrolled in our Online undergraduate and MS programs in Maharishi Ayurveda & Integrative Medicine will stay at this new Clinic during their week-long clinical training programs.
At the Doshi Center, people can receive a comprehensive integrative medical evaluation from a Western medical doctor (MD) working alongside an Ayurvedically-trained Vaidya. (Clients will receive the documents necessary to get reimbursed by their medical insurer for their visit.)
Initially, as of May 14th, the Doshi Center will be open two days per week, Thursdays and Fridays, for Maharishi AyurVeda integrative medical consultations. The supervisor of the medical practice will be Dr. John Zamarra, MD, a long-time Los Angeles resident physician and cardiologist. Our resident expert in Maharishi Ayurveda will be the world-renowned Vaidya, Dr. Manohar Palakurthi. By early Fall, we will be offering consultations five days per week.
We want to hear from you if you would like to schedule a comprehensive integrative medical consultation, which includes pulse diagnosis. We open May 14th, and appointments are likely to fill up quickly—so please book soon!
Just write to DoshiCenter@miu.edu or call (323) 333-1448.
We hope to see you (via Zoom) at our May 14th Inauguration!
